Brief Description of the Job Duties:
In this position the operator operates all coupled assembly machiney with equal proficiency. Operators work together to provide maximum efficiency and quality possible from the equipment. Close tolerances are maintained so operators must be able to take measurements and relate them to specifications. Basic skill training for this position will be provided and measured.
Work Requirements:
Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime.• Ability to work in extreme heat • Operation of a fork truck ( in plant training) • Standing / Walking on concrete of 8 to 12 hours • Lifting of up to 50 lbs • Team lifting in some processes of 65lbs.• Lifts to waist and to chest • Overhead lifting • Continuous bending and stretching • Pushing, straight pulling or hand over hand pulling in excess of 50lbs • Some work may be repetitive in nature • Stooping and/or twisting throughout shift • Climbing maybe necessary. Must be able to read and follow STD work procedures throughout all processes.
Skills:
Good communication skills • Able to comprehend policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and a high quality product delivered on time • Must be a team-oriented individual who understand and supports the team approach to manufacturing • Possess a high level of responsibility and accountability for both themselves and their team • Able to understand and carry out oral instructions • Posses the ability to read and carry out written instructions • Observe and read instruments, gauges, dials, etc. to determine operating conditions • The ability to observe working conditions to ensure their safety and the safety of fellow employees • Basic math and measurement skills is required.

Pick Pack
A leading buying group and contact lens distribution company in Newton is looking to add a part time Pick Pack Associate in our distribution center. The work is to pull and pack orders as they are received as well as provide support for the distribution area as needed. Some job duties include storing and retrieving inventory in boxes up to 25 pounds. Candidate needs the ability to use a step stool to be able to reach inventory stored above their head as well as being able to bend to retrieve inventory at floor level. Must be accurate in matching product to orders and work at a steady pace. Some skills needed are basic computer skills, general math, reading and the ability to consistently follow established processes.
